Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The University of Canberra (UC) commissioned an external audit of ELICOS and the International Foundations Studies (IFS) Program as part of meeting its requirements for CRICOS re-registration. The audit was conducted by Capital Review Group between 18 October 2024 and 18 December 2024.

The University of Canberra College (UCC) undertook a gap analysis of existing UC academic policies and procedures in response to the audit recommendations and recommended priorities to the University. Over the past 12 months the College has worked with the University to develop/revise priority policies and procedures, including this one.

The Policy addresses an existing policy gap for courses that do not lead to an award but are subject to federal legislation. The policy has grouped the non-award courses delivered by UCC (ELICOS, Foundation Programs, and Enabling Courses, such as the UC Preparation Scheme and UC Connect) under one overarching Policy.
