The policy was updated to incorporate the following features:
• creation of separate Committees for Level D & E and Level B & C promotions;
• updating the membership of the Committees to reflect diversity and greater representation from across the institution;
• introduction of an Independent Assessor role into the process;
• clarification around the concept of Relative to Opportunity in promotion and methodology around its consideration;
• minor language revisions to enhance clarity and inclusivity; and
• incorporation of University obligations in relation to Gender Based Violence protections.
